We received a very warm welcome to the Queens Head and all staff very extremely friendly. It's location is about 3 miles from the busy Windermere area and therefore close to action if desired but quiet if preferred. The restaurant was first class and very busy which, considering its location, has obviously acquired a great reputation in the area. The room was very pretty ( Room 10) with a four poster, hundreds of cushions and a magnificent view over the hills. I would highly recommend the Queens Head and hope I can go back again one day.

Enjoyed four nights in this lovely countryside hotel. Accessible yet tucked away in quiet rural location, although alongside a road. Lovely bar and restaurant and attractive outside seating area. The staff were brilliant. They couldn't have been more helpful. Food excellent, so we ate in three of the nights. Breakfast offered lots of choice, all freshly cooked.

We booked accommodations at The Queen's Head Hotel for 4 nights in August, hoping to find a idyllic, rural setting close to the major Lake District attractions and got everything we hoped for - and more! We liked everything - from the room decor, to the cleanliness of the facility, to the modern bathroom, to the food, to the friendliness of the staff!

2 nights stay to offer a quite and relaxing time. I enjoyed our stay at the Queens Head Hotel and would not hesitate to recommend to friends. It is well situated for getting around the Lakes and for all the local attractions. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very good. The friendly and homely atmosphere that the staff have created to provide an informal, relaxed style that I appreciate. The service is quick & efficient. There is ample car parking which is a rarity.

"Superb accommodation, food and service." We stayed for two nights in July 2010. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bar is delightful and the food was of a high standard. Staff service was always with a smile. Friendly and helpful approach of staff was refreshing.
